Episode 005: My Brooklyn Bridge

Join me for a wide-ranging conversation with Jay Parker, founder of the No More Secrets recovery program. I consider Jay to be my "smokejumper", the man who jumped into the middle of the fire I lit a decade ago that burned down my life. A Brooklyn native, Jay is a former drug and alcohol counselor who is now a life and recovery coach. He's also a recovering addict with many years of sobriety and experience, and is now one of my closest friends.

Jay led the effort that saved my life.

In this episode, Jay tells his own rebuilding story, then we compare notes on our respective rebuilds. We discuss letting go of shameful secrets, confronting consequences of the past, our shared communities of support, and personal spirituality. You will undoubtedly remember Jay's direct, humorous, and sometimes hard-hitting wisdom.

JDK the Author had to become JDK the Healthy Man first. Jay pointed the way.
