This Post Is All About You
[Editor’s Note: Like the rest of us, JDK had a helluva week. So, he took this week off. He’ll be back with a new post next week. Instead, here is an update on his latest venture - his new radio show / podcast - and another of his original poems. They kind of go together, actually, now that I think about it….]

Hi All -
As I’m sure my editor mentioned, this was quite the week in JDK-World. I know it was for the rest of you, too. So, like you, I’m taking a deep breath this weekend and indulging in some quality Self-Care - good food, good company, good conversation, and good exercise, in my case. In the process of that, I did some reflecting and decided to give you some updates on a couple of things.
The big news first - I am thrilled to announce the launch of my new radio show and podcast, This Show Is All About You. Unlike Building From the Bullet Hole, this new show will be weekly and will broadcast live every Monday afternoon from 3:00 - 3:30 PM Pacific Time on KKNW 1150 AM Radio in Seattle. You can listen to it live directly from their website here. Then, by that evening, you can catch it as a podcast at Podcast One (I know, right? Big Time!), Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and most other podcast platforms. Be sure to subscribe to it from your preferred platform so you never miss an episode. The first two episodes are already available, and Episode Three launches tomorrow, so get caught up!
I view this show as one that required Building From the Bullet Hole (which will continue forward in some fashion, so stay tuned on that) as the shoulders it needed to stand on. My original plan was to start Season Two of BFTBH early in 2021, but when the opportunity knocked to do a weekly radio show and do up to 52 episodes as opposed to twelve, I couldn’t pass it up. This new show will go into more detail on a number of themes I talked about in Season One of BFTBH, but will also go even further afield to cover just about anything that I think connects You with Me.
Which then creates a We and Us. And good things happen there.
It’s a show about commonalities, connection, perspectives, and ideas with - hopefully - all the humor and joy and fun that we all crave, especially these days. I’ll be pulling material from my own life, history, current events, sports, music, media, and anything else that catches my fancy. My guess is that you’ll be able to relate to a lot of it, and we could all use more reminders and celebration of what we all have in common. I’m excited about all the possibilities for it, and am having a blast crafting it. I think you’ll get a sense of that when you hear it.
If you’re wondering how I am doing all this - guiding myself through a big new job, writing new material twice a week for this website, working on getting Krelle’s Inferno published, and now doing a weekly show - you’re not alone. I started wondering, too. And I realized that it’s all too much, especially if I don’t want quantity to undercut quality.
So, I’ve made the choice to forgo the midweek posts from this point on. I will still post on the blog here and there, especially with any announcements having to do with the book or podcast(s). This will free up time, energy, and creative bandwidth for My Sunday Post and everything else I’m working on. But don’t worry - if something happens that needs immediate commentary from me, I won’t hesitate to whip it up and send it out to you.
Plus, it will free up time for you to listen to the new podcast! I’m looking out for you….
If you have any ideas, questions, or comments that you think would be great material for a show episode, please let me know. Reach out to me here, or through my social media feeds. I’m always open for new stuff.
Finally, since there is no My Sunday Post this week, I will give you My Sunday Poem instead. This one I wrote two years ago, yet it somehow fits perfectly with the aims and themes of This Show Is All About You. I hope you like it.
See you all next week.
Chins Up, Everyone.

Unspoken Agreement (Out Loud)
By JDK Wyneken
We walk...
Through whatever is in front of us.
We talk...
Through whatever confronts us.
It’s always been that way
For years and maybe longer.
I watch...
Your steps upward under the dawn.
You speak...
Beside me in my best and worst times.
It’s effortless for both, like breathing
While sleeping.
We know...
It’s all about possibilities.
We admit...
That they often collide with realities.
Fortunately for us
We always Know Each Other
In the end.
